Here is a Freemason symbol! Does it come close to the background sign/symbol? The Watchtower Society could have shown pictures/photos of plants, trees, people, or buildings in the background. They chose this symbol. WHY?

The Summer 2006 Convention Drama Reviews
*Spot on with the acting and costumes. Jehovah looks in our hearts regardless of the color of our skin. Our brotherhood is a joy of togetherness.
*Great acting!
*The Convention was so upbuilding. We now know how close we are living in the last days of this wicked system of things.
*One of my favorite dramas!
*We have some talented brothers and sisters.
*This play was cringe-worthy.
*This is very nice & interesting!!!! But it would have been better if the actors had used their own voices.
* I thought it was a new time low with the fake costumes and the playing of pre-recorded voices.

What Are Your Rights?
by Simon inrights seem to be everywhere nowadays.
say hello to someone in the wrong way and you've violated 101 of their human rights.
people imagine they have the right to all sorts of things - food, healthcare, housing, internet ... so many things are labelled basic rights and then you get onto their human rights - a favourite of the do-nothing bodies such as the un to declare.

Let's say you walk into a small restaurant in Iowa and you sit down for dinner. They hand you a menu that is mostly vegetarian dishes but does have sirloin steak. You are a meat eater and decide you want the sirloin steak. The cooks that night are two vegans who are disgusted by your food choice. They tell the waiter that they will not prepare the steak because of morality issues. Eating steak is cruelty to animals.
The waiter tells you that the cooks refuse to cook you a steak. You are also told that if you don't like their decision you can walk out of the restaurant. You scratch your head....'' What is the difference between cooking eggs, potatoes, or my steak for these cooks?
Do you walk out, complain, write a letter to the local village about the treatment you received? Were these cooks protected from not cooking your steak that night, that was clearly was on the menu?

Do Restaurants Have the Unrestricted Right to Refuse Service?
No. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 explicitly prohibits restaurants from refusing service to patrons on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. In addition, most courts don’t allow restaurants to refuse service to patrons based on extremely arbitrary conditions. For example, a person likely can’t be refused service due to having a lazy eye.
But Aren’t Restaurants Considered Private Property?
Yes, however they are also considered places of public accommodation. In other words, the primary purpose of a restaurant is to sell food to the general public, which necessarily requires susceptibility to equal protection laws. Therefore, a restaurant’s existence as private property does not excuse an unjustified refusal of service. This can be contrasted to a nightclub, which usually caters itself to a specific group of clientele based on age and social status.
So Are "Right to Refuse Service to Anyone" Signs in Restaurants Legal?
Yes, however they still do not give a restaurant the power to refuse service on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. These signs also do not preclude a court from finding other arbitrary refusals of service to be discriminatory. Simply put, restaurants that carry a "Right to Refuse Service" sign are subject to the same laws as restaurants without one.

So can I walk into a vegan restaurant, order a steak and sue them when they don't serve me?
If you walked into a vegan restaurant, you would not find steak on the menu. If you walked into a steakhouse, and you plan on paying your check, there should not be one reason why they should deny you service when you walk in.

Mark was facing serious pressure at work compromising his neutrality. He is asked to join a protest at his employment that is facing cutbacks and layoffs. Mark will not join the protest or sign the sheet. He might be one of the first to lose his job if he doesn't sign the sheet. Mark stays neutral and loyal to Jehovah. He doesn't sign the sheet. Occording to the Elders in his congregation, he is facing future events with courage.
But according to the WTBTS, you can write and sign letters to the Russian government. It will show your support for the whole association of brotherhood.
On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses invited the worldwide brotherhood to write letters of appeal to governmental authorities at the highest level who were threatening to ban our activities throughout the Russian Federation. While it cannot be determined exactly how many of the letters reached the Russian authorities, several who wrote received formal letters of acknowledgment. Though the Russian government chose not to heed the respectful appeals and has misused its authority to attack the worship of our brothers, the campaign was a stirring display of the global unity of Jehovah’s organization. It was also successful in sending the message to our fellow worshippers in Russia that the whole association of brothers is ready to provide support.—1 Peter 2:17.

''Tony, Jehovah wants people to come to an accurate knowledge of truth, like it says in 1Timothy 2:4.'''' ActuallyTony, the Governing Body wants you to study a book that is half-assed Bible beliefs, doctrines, and practices. Then you will need to answer all the questions in the book ....correctly, put in field service hours, attend 4 meetings per week, get baptized ( we never tell you we can disfellowship you for any silly rule we have), and shun close family members. We have noticed you're smarter than we thought. So, we will try another time when your life is in shambles and we can put more fear into your life.''

Illinois Attorney General Sues Suburban Express For Alleged Discrimination, Harassment
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has announced a lawsuit against the private bus company Suburban Express for alleged human rights violations.
Madigan’s civil rights bureau had been investigating the company for possible violations of the Illinois Human Rights Act after an email was sent to customers in December saying they would find “passengers like you. You won’t feel like you’re in China when you’re on our buses.”
She said she found years of discriminatory practices, including findings that owner Dennis Toeppin relentlessly harassed customers involved in disputes and posted personal financial information of those who negatively reviewed his company.
“This is not a one-off," Madigan said. "This is a serious history—years long—of continued, repeated violations of our civil rights laws and our consumer protection laws.”
While true, You can't, nor should you, discriminate, and refuse to sell products you carry to someone based on their skin color or sexual orientation, you can, and you should be able to refuse to sell an item because you choose not to.
Just because you are a privately-owned company, DOESN'T mean you can violate civil rights laws and consumer protection laws because the business doesn't need to answer to anyone. ''Take your business somewhere else'' solution and harassing customers is a discriminatory practice. -

Oh, here we come, again! Another person who is so religious and moral deciding who should have a ''right''get a marriage license. She refuses to issue a marriage license to gay couples(even though its legal in Kentucky) because of "God's authority.''
With her strong religious faith ( cough, cough), she forgets that she's been married four times and she should have been issued only one marriage license herself. What upstanding moral and religious code this woman has that she decides what "rights" she gets but what "rights" others get taken away. She has a right to marry 4 times without her rights to remarry taken away but somehow, she is on God's side against gay couples right to marry.
The Kentucky county clerk who refuses to issue marriage licenses to gay couples has been married four times herself.
Invoking “God’s authority,” Kim Davis denied marriage licenses to gay couples again Tuesday in direct defiance of the federal courts and vowed not to resign, even under the pressure of steep fines or jail.
